RENOVATION OF HVDC PLANTS: NEW GIS BUILDING 220 kV
Grugliasco’s Power Station Plant is a part of the National Electricity Network, and its main function is to convert Hight to Medium Voltage.
The plant included the construction of one shed (GFA 1500sqm), and outdoor foundations holding all facilities of the process. Shed is mostly precast structures (columns, beams and roof) with cast-in-place spread foundations. Plants will be supported by special foundations and RC pavings designed for heavy loads due to plants. For National Regulations the Power Station is a strategic facility, for this reason great care and additional safety factors were taken into account during Structural Design.
Our Company was the lead consultant for all Civil works, including Geotechnical design and Earth works.
